On the stabilization of positron annihilation Doppler-broadening data
Abstract
The present investigation compares three different methods for stabilizing positron annihilation Doppler-broadening data. The three methods have in common the use of a reference gamma ray line, which is simultaneously measured with the positron annihilation line at 511 keV. It is shown that a regressional method should be used whenever the dominating instability in the data has a random nature. A practical example of an application of the regressional method is given.
