H 2+ molecular ion beam studies
Abstract
Solid and gaseous targets were bombarded with a 28 MeV H 2+-beam of the Bonn cyclotron. The emerging particles (H 2+, H +, H 0) were energy- and angle-analyzed with high resolution. The transmission and angular distribution of the outgoing molecules were measured. The latter is compared to the multiple scattering of 14 MeV protons.
