Near infrared imaging of Uranus and Neptune.
Abstract
Imaging of Uranus and Neptune in the deep methane absorption band at 890 nm has been used to detect high-altitude atmospheric hazes and to search for possible undiscovered close-in satellites. The appearances of Uranus and Neptune are very different from one another and Uranus seems to be changing with time. The Neptune images show rotation in the direct sense. No new satellites have been found to date.
