On the growth morphology of solar-grade polysilicon prepared by zinc reduction of silicon tetrachloride
Abstract
An SEM study of the growth morphology of solar-grade polysilicon obtained by zinc reduction of silicon tetrachloride is reported. The results show that needle-shaped, octahedral-faceted crystals, or amorphous silicon are obtained depending on the reaction temperature and flow rate of silicon tetrachloride inside the reactor.
