Spatial-temporal signal processing
Abstract
A unified approach to the analysis and synthesis of radar stations and multipositional radio measurement systems is considered. Optimal and suboptimal algorithms for the extraction of information about the location and velocity of observed objects in the presence of internal and external noise are analyzed, and the stability of these algorithms against the breakdown of a priori assumptions is examined. The use of the wavefront-curvature parameter to recognize signals in noise produced by external sources is discussed, and questions of range resolution are treated. Attention is given to criteria and methods for the optimization of spatial-temporal signals.
