MCHF+BP results for electric dipole transitions in the oxygen isoelectronic sequence
Abstract
Extensive calculations of energy levels and transition probabilities for the E1 transitions between levels of 2s2 2p4 and 2s 2p5 of the oxygen-like ions have been performed for 25 ions up to Z = 42. The multiconfiguration Hartree-Fock method was used for determining the radial orbitals. The total wavefunction includes configurations that contribute significantly either to electron correlation in the n = 2 shell or to relativistic effects, through the Breit-Pauli approximation. The results are compared with other existing theoretical values and, in the case of energy levels, also with observation.
