Abstract
The branched transmission lines in fluidic and pneumatic systems are utilized for the distribution of the pressure signal. The formulation of branched transmission line dynamics relations is discussed, taking into account the reflection coefficient at a branching point, and the formulation of conditions in the case of a three-line branching. The transfer functions of the three-lines branching system are considered along with the classification of wave propagation modes, aspects of nonreflection matching of branched transmission lines, and the step response of branched transmission lines with volume terminations. Attention is given to the nonreflection condition at a branching point, the nonreflection matching of multijunction systems, the synthesis of nonreflection branching systems, an experimental evaluation of the nonreflection matching technique, and an analysis on the basis of the SB model.
