A pseudospectral method and parametric differentiation applied to the FalknerSkan equation
Abstract
The FalknerSkan equation, which is the similarity form of the boundary layer equations, has been solved through the use of pseudospectral methods for different values of the similarity parameter β. The equation was then parametrically differentiated with respect to β and the resulting equation was solved with pseudospectral methods. A convergence criteria is established for each method. Comparisons are made between both approaches and the classical solutions.
