Observation of the nu 2 (1 - <-- 0 + ) inversion mode band in H3O + by high resolution infrared spectroscopy
Abstract
The high resolution spectrum of the ν2 (1-←0+) inversion mode of gas phase oxonium ion H3O+ has been observed for the first time by diode laser spectroscopy. The molecular constants derived from the spectrum agree well with those predicted by Bunker, Kraemer, and Spirko.
