A kinematic and photometric study of the old cluster M67.
Abstract
The proper motions of stars within an 130 x 130 arcmin area centered on NGC 2682 (M 67) were derived using five plate pairs obtained with the Pulkovo normal astrograph. The proper motions of 1104 stars to B = 15.8 m were determined relative to reference stars within B = 13.5-14.5m. The UBV magnitudes of the stars were determined using Schmidt-telescope plates, and cluster members were selected on the basis of proper-motion criteria and V - B-V and B-V - U-B diagrams. It is found that 332 of the stars studied belong to the cluster and 57 are probable members. The membership of blue stragglers and red giants is considered.
