The Indian astronomer V. B. Ketakar believed in the existence of two planets beyond the orbit of Neptune. He predicted the positions and the orbital elements of these two planets by applying a radically different approach compared to other astronomers. Laplace's laws of the satellites of Jupiter were modified and applied by Ketakar for arriving at the results.
