Abstract
Advances in hybrid Microwave Integrated Circuits (MIC) are examined, and microwave and millimeter-wave solid-state devices are discussed, taking into account power generation, devices for low-noise and small-signal applications, devices for signal processing, millimeter-wave devices, and devices for high-speed digital logic. Developments related to microwave field theory and microwave systems are also considered. Attention is given to the numerical characterization and modeling of printed lines and components, dielectric waveguides and resonators, microstrip antenna techniques, commercial communications systems, high-speed digital transmission over optical fibers, operational radar systems at low microwave frequencies, and millimeter-wave radar development centered at 35 and 94 GHz.
