Aperture blockage in reflector antennas
Abstract
The aperture blockage effects on both the copolarized and the cross polarized components of the front-hemisphere pattern of a typical quadrupod supported primary-feed paraboloidal reflector antenna are evaluated. A detailed numerical model of the scattering process which involves the feed, the feed supporting struts, and the reflector itself is employed to compute the blockage effect.
