Harmonic mixing and detection with Schottky diodes up to the 5 THz range
Abstract
A comparative study of the behavior of different Schottky diodes as detectors and harmonic mixers in the 0.4-5.3 THz frequency range has been conducted. It can be inferred from the data obtained that, for diodes with 1-4 THz plasma frequencies, junction capacitance is the most important parameter affecting the high frequency performance of these devices.
