A waveguide Gunn oscillator structure for millimeter-wave applications
Abstract
An improved oscillator structure in waveguide is presented. This oscillator circuit provides a high degree of tunability with a sliding back short and an adjustable sliding iris incorporated into one structure. Results are presented for a W-band Gunn oscillator prototype, demonstrating improved frequency stability compared to a commercially available W-band Gunn oscillator and to a W-band klystron.
