The calculation of integrals according to the telluroid and the lunar sphere
Abstract
An integral curvature formula is obtained for calculating the potential of the moon according to discreet measurements of the radial accelerations of a lunar satellite. The formula is expressed in terms of the smooth function for a sphere encompassing the entire moon. Doppler tracking of the lunar satellite resulted in measurements of the satellite radial acceleration for only the visible side of the moon. The formula is found to have third-order accuracy.
