Calculation of friction-loaded laminar flow through two-dimensional blade cascades
Abstract
Navier-Stokes equations for incompressible steady flow are reduced to the eddy transport equation. The stream function is then introduced to obtain expressions for the flow velocity, eddy function, and eddy transport. This system of equations is solved for two-dimensional cascade flow and given boundary conditions. A nonorthogonal blade-oriented coordinate system is used because the boundary conditions on the blade contour are inexactly fulfilled by interpolation.
