Elektromagnetische Verträglichkeit (EMV) in Systemen mit eng benachbarten Antennen
Abstract
Problems may arise in the case of the simultaneous operation of two transmitting stations located in a closely confined area (ship or aircraft). Two types of interaction effects are considered, including 'active' and 'passive' effects. Moenich and Kombrink (1980) conducted a theoretical study of passive effects. The present investigation has the objective to show the arising problems on the basis of a study of the behavior of two transmitting stations with rod antennas. The interaction effects are calculated with the aid of a computer program. It is found that the simultaneous operation of two powerful transmitters at the same frequency can lead to the destruction of the output stages in cases in which the spatial separation of the two antennas is insufficient. The operation of two powerful transmitters operated at different frequencies can be problematic even in cases of a larger frequency difference. Attention is also given to the employment of transmitter filters, taking into account advantages and problems.
