Computer simulation of an electrodynamic-suspension system
Abstract
A design technique for an electrodynamic-suspension system is developed where the superconducting circuits are replaced by permanent magnets of high-coercivity alloys. Attention is given to the optimization of the suspension design according to the criterion of minimum cost of the structure and maximum levitation force for a given gap between the magnetic and conducting plates.
