Symbol analysis of microwave devices by the method of subcircuits
Abstract
The paper proposes a method for the symbol analysis of microwave devices modeled by branched circuits consisting of multipole components with known S-matrices. The method involves the determination of the S-matrix minors on the basis of the recursive application of relationships arising in the analysis of a circuit through its successive dismemberment into component parts. This approach leads to a substantial easing of computer memory and speed requirements.
