Theoretical study on the radial line transformer in a rectangular waveguide
Abstract
An analytical model is developed for the radial line transformer (RLT), and a method is proposed for calculating the input impedance of the RLT in a rectangular waveguide. The calculations carried out for the 3.5-5.5 GHz waveguide band are found to be in good agreement with experimental results obtained by Doering and Seebald (1980). It is concluded that the method proposed here is sufficiently accurate for engineering applications.
