A structural classification of geomagnetic pulsations
Abstract
A structural classification of geomagnetic pulsations based on the spectral structure of low and mid-latitude regular daytime pulsation activity is presented and its application to Pc-type pulsations is described. The existence of physically discrete classes of regular pulsations is illustrated. The use of such a classification scheme in obtaining a better understanding of generation processes is indicated.
