Certain selfsimilar solutions for a class of hydrodynamic equations with signvariable viscosity
Abstract
The paper presents results concerning the construction and stability analysis of selfsimilar solutions to an equation with a signvariable viscosity coefficient. An analysis is made of the structure and stability of the set of shocktransitiontype solutions for a onedimensional nonlinear equation; a numerical solution is obtained for the interaction of the shock transition with an oscillating background. Also presented are results pertaining to the existence of layertype selfsimilar solutions to the twodimensional analog of the aformentioned onedimensional equation.
