Method for calculating gasdynamic flows of an inhomogeneous medium in LagrangeEuler variables
Abstract
The LEGAK (LagrangeEuler) finitedifference algorithm for the numerical simulation of the flows of an inhomogeneous medium is developed. A number of calculation examples which illustrate the possibilities and features of the LEGAK algorithm are presented, including: the development of the sinusoidal disturbance of an interface after the passage of a plane shock wave; the mixing of gases in a gravity field which have initially been separated by a barrier; highvelocity impact; and explosion in a chamber partially filled with water.
