Method for calculating gasdynamic flows of an inhomogeneous medium in Lagrange-Euler variables
Abstract
The LEGAK (Lagrange-Euler) finite-difference algorithm for the numerical simulation of the flows of an inhomogeneous medium is developed. A number of calculation examples which illustrate the possibilities and features of the LEGAK algorithm are presented, including: the development of the sinusoidal disturbance of an interface after the passage of a plane shock wave; the mixing of gases in a gravity field which have initially been separated by a barrier; high-velocity impact; and explosion in a chamber partially filled with water.
