Kholodnikanskii greenstone belt in the structure of the Aldan massif

The Kholodnikanskii volcanogenic belt is examined in terms of its geological position in the structure of the southern periphery of the Aldan massif, composition, petrogenesis, trend of endogenic development, and characteristic metallogenic specialization. It is shown that the belt has features characteristic of early Archaean greenstone belts of the Barberton type and can be considered the first greenstone belt identified in the structure of the Aldan massif.
