Impulse response of a planar sheath equi-angular spiral antenna
Abstract
The impulse response of a planar equi-angular spiral antenna is studied on the basis of the sheath model. An expression for the current in the spirally conducting sheath due to an impulsive electric dipole in the center is found in closed form, applying the so-called method of explicit inversion, originally proposed by Cagniard. It appears that the current response has a finite duration which is governed by the angle parameter of the spiral configuration.
