Coherent focal volume mapping of a cw CO2 Doppler lidar
Abstract
In this paper, the coherent response to a 100-micron diam spinning wire is determined as a function of its position within the focal volume of a 10.6-micron coherent Doppler lidar, and SNR contours are generated, both transverse to and along the system line of sight. Application of the contours to single-particle scattering is discussed.
