The T Tauri radio source.
Abstract
The authors report VLA observations of T Tau at λ = 1.3, 2, 6, and 20 cm and new infrared speckle measurements at λ = 2.2, 3.2, and 3.8 μm. At λ = 6 cm, the T Tau radio source is resolved into two components with a north-south separation of 0arcsec.54. The weaker northern source can be identified with T Tau itself. The stronger southern radio source, whose centimeter wavelength radio spectrum suggests a constant-velocity mass outflow, coincides with the infrared companion of T Tau.
