The dwarf nova VW Hyi displayed rapid, quasi-periodic oscillations in its light curve during its normal eruption of 1978 January. Two oscillations were present simultaneously, one with a mean period of 253 s and one with a mean period of 23.6 s. The 253 s periodicity had an amplitude near 4 percent and a coherence time between three and 15 cycles; the 23.6 s periodicity had a coherence time of 45 s, or two cycles. The 23.6 oscillation was strongly modulated by the 253 s oscillation. Its peak-to-peak amplitude reached about 5 percent near peaks of the 253 s oscillation, but was nearly zero at minima of the 253 s oscillation. This is the seventh eruption of VW Hyi in which oscillations have been detected. By combining data from all seven eruptions, several patterns in the behavior of the oscillations have been found.
