Taylor (1982) predicted the occultation of the star AGK3 + 25.0989 deg by minor planet (106) Dione on January 19, 1983. The considered event was observed by a number of persons in Denmark, Germany, and the Netherlands. The reported observations are listed in a table and summarized in a graph. It is pointed out that all observations and comments are remarkably consistent. A mean diameter D = 147 + or - 3 km is derived for (106) Dione on the basis of the reported visual observations of the occultation.
