Determination de rayons de cepheides. III. Vitesses radiales, orbite spectroscopique et dimension de SU Cyg.
Abstract
The classical Cepheid SU Cyg is characterized on the basis of 89 radial velocities measured with the Coravel photoelectric spectrometer on the 1-m Swiss telescope of the Observatoire de Haute Provence from May, 1979, to June, 1982. The data are presented in tables and graphs and combined with the UBV photometric data of Szabados (1977), Fernie (1979), and Moffet and Barnes (1980) to estimate the radius of the system by the technique of Wesselink (1946). Parameters calculated include period = 549.20 + or - 0.03 d, K = 30.4 + or - 0.2 km/s, gamma = -21.2 + or - 0.1 km/s, e = 0.349 + or - 0.004, omega = 221.8 + or - 1.2 deg, f(m) = 1.32 + or - 0.03 solar mass, and Cepheid radius = 43.9 solar radii.
