Electromagnetic field in a thin planar waveguide with a conducting filter
Abstract
A theoretical investigation is made of the electromagnetic field excited by a vertical dipole in a waveguide with ideally conducting walls and partially filled with a conducting layer. The dependence of the eigenvalues of the transverse operator of the problem on the waveguide parameters is examined. This makes it possible to determine the parameters for which eigenvalue degeneration occurs. The properties of individual field modes are also investigated.
