A systolic signal processor for recursive filtering
Abstract
This paper describes the design of a systolic signal processor for recursive Kalman filtering. The architecture of the processor is based on mapping the Kalman filter equations onto a linearity connected systolic array. A successful prototype of the systolic Kalman filter processor has been constructed using state-of-the-art VLSI components. The systolic processor is well-suited for recursive filtering, beam forming, target tracking, image processing and radar signal processing.
