Turbulence models; a lecture course
Abstract
Entrainment models of turbulence are introduced. Mixing length models for bounded and unbounded flow, and for wall flow are summarized. Effective viscosity models are treated. Transport of scalar quantities is considered. The Prandtl energy model and the k-w, k-k, and k-epsilon turbulence models are outlined. Concentration fluctuations and physically controlled chemical reactions are mentioned.
