Inviscid fluid flows
Abstract
The application of mathematical modelling to inviscid fluid flows is discussed. The topics considered include: free boundary problems, nonlinear surface waves, compressible flow, shock waves, approximate solutions for compressible flow, and complex variable methods. Both the mathematical aspects and the physical relevance of these topics are examined in detail.
