Multijet interactions with obstacles
Abstract
A study has been made of the interactions of parallel supersonic jets with one another and with a perpendicular obstacle. Experimental data on pressure changes and Schlieren photography have been used to construct the internal wave structure and to classify the interaction modes. The effect of gas-dynamic and geometrical parameters in the nozzle exit section on flow characteristics is analyzed. An approximate method is proposed for determining the interaction mode.
