Performance tuning SNA flow control algorithms for bulk data transfer over a satellite data link
Abstract
The flow control investigation reported on in this paper represents an effort to identify the performance tuning extensions required to the Systems Network Architecture flow control algorithms to provide efficient bulk data transfer over a satellite data link. A detailed simulation model of the SNA transport network was used to determine that the ability to easily modify the parameters that tune virtual route flow control is what is required.
