Prospects of improving acoustoelectronic devices for information processing
Abstract
The paper examines the possibility of improving existing acoustoelectronic devices (filters, delay lines, convolvers, correlators, and memories) by a new SAW transducer design, and the application of acoustoelectric amplifying components and devices based on the interaction of surface acoustic waves and electron beams in vacuum. Particular attention is given to filters with capacitive weighting of electrodes, and to a monolithic acoustoelectronic amplifier for SAW filters and delay lines.
