Semiconductor components in millimeter-wave receivers and sources
Abstract
The design and development of millimeter-wave semiconductor components at the Institute of Radio Technology and Electronics of the Soviet Academy of Sciences is reviewed. Particular emphasis is placed on Schottky-barrier-diode detectors, mixers, and frequency multipliers. Oscillation in Gunn diodes and their nonlinear properties are investigated with attention given to Gunn diodes with quasi-optical cavities and self-oscillations in annular semiconductor structures.
