Choice of hardware parameters for the operational determination of spacecraft attitude by star-pattern recognition
Abstract
The present study examines the main principles, and method for choosing the parameters of a TV camera using a CCD multimatrix as the image detector. Formulas are presented for determining the range of admisible values of camera parameters. It is noted that the proposed approach should make it possible to determine spacecraft attitude in units of arcsec, using short-focus (100-200 mm) wide-angle lenses and CCD detectors with about 500 x 500 elements.
