System of light-flux control in the Fragment multispectral scanner system
Abstract
The normal operation of the satellite-borne Fragment MSS depends significantly on the appropriate distribution and control of light fluxes, those arriving from the earth's surface as well as the reference fluxes formed by special light sources. This paper describes the light-flux control unit of the Fragment system and describes the characteristics of its individual components. Functional diagrams of the light-flux switch and of the relay-phase regulator are presented, and the operation of the phase discriminator is examined.
