Analysis of transient radiative and conductive heat transfer
Abstract
A numerical method for solving the problem of transient radiative and conductive heat transfer in a two-dimensional domain is given. The problem is described by a nonlinear integro-differential equation coupled with a family of boundary integral equations. The discretization in space is accomplished using finite difference approximations for the partial differential operators and collocation methods for the integral operators. The discretization gives a system of non-linear ordinary differential equations which is solved with the trapezoidal method. Finally some numerical examples are given.
