Nonparametric decentralized array signal detection
Abstract
A decentralized array signal detection system of K local decision centers is considered where the local decisions are based on some of the well known Constant False Alarm Rate (CFAR) procedures. Various system structures have been analyzed with array consisting of excessively large number of elements, K much greater than 1, distributed over a large geographic area. It is shown that the preliminary local processing results in a simplified central processing and much shorter decision time which is of great importance in applications such as C(3) or C(4).
