Velocity measurements by L.D.A. in a turbulent developed pipe flow at high temperature
Abstract
In a heated turbulent pipe flow (500 C), the velocity measurements are no more possible with a hot wire anemometer and the existence of the wall of the tube is a disadvantage for use of Laser Doppler Anemometry. In this study, experiments are made through splits milled in the tube. The split effect on the flow is negligible and is located near the wall. The law of the wall is verified and this gives proof of good measurements inside the flow.
