Abnormal neutron stars with abnormal protons.
Abstract
An abnormal neutron star consisting solely of abnormal neutrons has been proposed as a new kind of compact star. In the present investigation, it is pointed out that mass differences would arise in connection with the difference in the electromagnetic property between abnormal neutrons and abnormal protons and the same value of the phi-field in abnormal neutron stars. The considered investigation is concerned with a refinement of previous work, taking into account the abnormal neutron stars with abnormal protons. Attention is given to inhomogeneous models, which are based on the basic differential equations of stellar structure and the equation of state. Conclusions reached on the basis of homogeneous models are also discussed. It is found that abnormal neutron stars are stable, while normal neutron stars are metastable.
