Generalized approximation methods for the calculation of incompressible laminar boundary layers, part 2
Abstract
Laminar boundary layer calculations are performed using the von Karman momentum equation and the Wieghardt energy equation and the first five, then the first seven boundary conditions at the wall. The theory of this calculations is explained. The calculation of the stretch factor, shear stress, and physical quantities are presented. The use of a step in the calculation procedure is described. The results show very good agreement with exactly calculated values in the domain of the accelerated as well as the decelerated flow. The ALGOL calculation programs are given.
