Computerized simulation of multipath fading for mobile radio systems
Abstract
The simulation of fading in a mobile radio system in urban areas is described. The technique is useful for evaluating the performance of systems and equipment which depend on propagation conditions. A computer program in BASIC adapted to a disk computer is described. The program simulates the time function of the received signal intensity. It is shown that the predicted signal keeps the dynamic and statistical characteristics of either the predictions made in several published models or the measured values.
