Adaptive DAMA TDMA network
Abstract
Attention is given to the prospects for increased efficiency that Demand Assignment Multiple Access (DAMA) can furnish in a wideband TDMA voice communication network. The adaptive DAMA scheme presented incorporates Digital Speech Interpolation (DSI) as an integral DAMA network function. It is projected that the use of DAMA and DSI will allow the TDMA network to increase its efficiency by a factor of 3 to 5, depending on the voice encoding method.
