Period and Spectral Type Diagram of Eclipsed Binaries

The authors have studied the period-spectral type diagram of 988 eclipsing binaries, taking into account the connections between their lightcurve shapes and their basic evolutionary properties. They have found a deficit of short-period non-contact systems, together with an excess of late-type contact binaries.
