Project Biramis: Measurement of the Earth radiation budget by accelerometric satellite
Abstract
The Earth radiation budget by space accelerometry (BIRAMIS project) was measured. The various causes of error are analyzed: they originate from the operation of the Super-Cactus accelerometer, from the characteristics of the coating chosen and from the existence of accelerations of others origins (spurious accelerations). Two numerical programs were developed, one simulating the measurement, the other estimating the local budget and the associated standard deviation as a function of the errors.
